We do not employ the services of subcontract painters. All operatives, Contracts Managers and relevant Directors employed by Vale Decorators are time served, meaning that each has completed an apprenticeship in painting and decorating, achieving a City & Guilds or NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3, and continued to work in the trade. We operate a strict policy of placing all apprentices on our own apprenticeship training scheme which is supported by the CITB, sponsoring approximately nine apprentices at any one time.

All our employees are CSCS card holders, having attended CITB certified training and passed the CSCS site health and safety test. All have recently attended an Asbestos Awareness Course. All operatives are trained in Working at Height and a number operatives are PASMA and IPAF trained, for the safe use of mobile and wagon-mount mobile elevating work platforms.

The majority of our operatives checked by the CRB for the security and peace of mind of clients and members of the public. All operatives have been vetting by Merseyside, Cheshire or Lancashire Police prior to working at various police stations previously.

Your Painting Service Specialists

Vale Decorators (Liverpool) Limited was established in January 1978 by Roy Sang with a small work force of time-served tradesmen and apprentices. We were incorporated October 1979.

Due to the increasing workload, in 1993 we invested heavily in the complete Design and Build of our own office/warehouse accommodation. This was sufficient for a few short years, when in 1999 we developed the existing facility even further by more than doubling our floor space, again to cope with increasing demand and to ensure sufficient space for further growth.

On 1st July 2009 our company name was changed from Vale decorators (Liverpool) Limited to Vale Decorators UK Limited. We are continually expanding and increasingly obtaining contracts on a national basis and we felt the new name more accurately reflects our position within the painting and decorating industry.

After strategic planning the company has enjoyed a steady and prolonged growth record and now have a large competent workforce of time-served tradesmen and apprentices.

Vale always adopt the policy of working collaboratively to achieve best practice and the highest quality end result. We have extensive experience in working in partnered relationships both formal and informal. We believe that by adopting a partnering ethos to all our work is key to building successful relationships.

We believe effective communication is the key to achieving a mutually beneficial partnered relationship and in turn provide the highest quality result for all of our clients. We aim for continuous improvements throughout the life of the contract and endeavour to provide a highly professional standard of service that is mutually beneficial to all parties whilst continuing to provide value for money.

Vale Decorators are a people company and  invest highly in staff training and continued professional development. We will always endevour to source local labour and local suppliers. We believe in investing in local labour by providing an in-house apprenticeship scheme with both the CITB and Liverpool Community College. This ‘home-grown’ labour approach is beneficial to our local community and helps to maintain a long term relationship with our operatives and in turn increases the quality of our service.

We regularly donate stock to local charities, community colleges, HMP, thus contributing to the development of young people in the surrounding area, with a desire to develop, achieve and succeed.

Any request made to Vale Decorators by any organisation or individual who requires our support for their local ventures will always be considered sympathetically. If we can provide the support they seek, we will do all we can to assist them in their venture.
