JOHN LLOYD - MANAGING DIRECTOR
John joined Vale as an apprentice painter and decorator and has remained with us throughout his career.
Following his apprenticeship, and gaining valuable onsite experience John progressed to Contracts Manager, Contracts Director, and finally Managing Director. ​

As Managing Director, John has the overall responsibility to provide guidance, support and oversight to the operations within the company.
​
John also supports the teams with:
Estimating and Contract Management
Measuring works and estimation
Submitting quotations
Overseeing the running of ongoing contracts recording any alterations to works
Monitoring labour and material for contracts
Monitoring quality, programme and budget
Submitting final accounts
Providing toolbox talks for operatives and keeping them up to date with and changes in to environmental or health and safety legislation

JOHN HIBBERT
John has achieved a full apprenticeship in painting and decorating and has 44 years experience in the painting and decorating industry. John joined Vale in 1992 as a Painting Operative and now has vast experience in Contracts Management on site and 14 years contract management and estimating.
As Contracts Manager, John will oversee the contract on site ensuring that the work is completed to a high standard, completed to programme and specification.
MIKE WORRALL
An experienced contracts manager with over 30 years in the industry, Mike brings his managerial skills in delivering both small and large commercial/industrial contracts, his knowledge in all aspects of the business form site surveys through to satisfactory client handover is a great addition to the contracts team.
CHRIS SANG

As Contracts Manager, Chris will oversee the contract on site ensuring that the work is completed to a high standard, completed to programme and specification. Measuring works, estimating, providing tool box talks, submitting quotations, and producing valuations/final accounts.
SAM GARNETT
Vale Decorators is supported by internal office administration staff, that has been trained in all the functions necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s business. Sam Garnett - Office Manager is responsible for sales/purchase/nominal ledger, producing monthly management accounts and generally overseeing the administration department.
Sam is also responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System.
MARJIE WEBB
Marjie provides valuable administrative support for our team.
PAINTING OPERATIVES AND FOREMAN
Vale Decorators are currently one of the largest painting and decorating contractors in the North West. All operatives and Foremen are employed directly by Vale Decorators. We do not employ the services of subcontract painters. All operatives, Contracts Managers and relevant Directors employed by Vale Decorators are time served, meaning that each has completed an apprenticeship in painting and decorating, achieving a City & Guilds or NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3, and continued to work in the trade. We operate a strict policy of placing all apprentices on our own apprenticeship training scheme which is supported by the CITB, sponsoring approximately nine apprentices at any one time.
All our employees are CSCS card holders, having attended CITB certified training and passed the CSCS site health and safety test. All have recently attended an Asbestos Awareness Course. All operatives are trained in Working at Height and a number operatives are PASMA and IPAF trained, for the safe use of mobile and wagon-mount mobile elevating work platforms.
The majority of our operatives checked by the CRB for the security and peace of mind of clients and members of the public. All operatives have been vetting by Merseyside, Cheshire or Lancashire Police prior to working at various police stations previously.
We have 1 experienced Foreman to every 4 operatives.We appoint at least 1 dedicated experienced Foreman to be on site at all times, managing the painting team. He will act as our Tenant Liaison Officer. providing a single point of contact for tenants
